Evaluation

This is my final upload of my magazine cover. In the front cover I had to Include images that i took my self which had to have people in it. I decided to just include one person and my image is situated in the new oak building on the balcony near the media department. I decided to have the image there because it gives a good over look of the new building and a good view of the lockers behind the person. I think as the building is all in white it makes the reader be drawn towards it because it looks bright and interesting.

When i first started planning i wanted to have a person outside the new oak building with a book looking towards the building but after taking the image that i put on the magazine i decided i liked that one so i decided to put that on and scrape the image i wanted. The images I took are on the blog and a description of why i didn't want to use them is below the images.  The magazine its self. Before i started the image i decided to use was to dark so i edited on photoshop to make it lighter to bring out the building which i behind him. After i edited that i started to choose a font to write the title and my sub headings.I used a website called http://www.dafont.com/, which gives a range of fonts for any thing you want i decided to use a graffiti like font which you can see on the cover.

The sub headings on my magazine are 2 simple stories. The first one i selected just a question being able to ask the students what they think about the new building. The second one is a exclusive interview with the basketball team where they are going to talk about the upcoming season having won the league last season. This is my contents page highlighting the main stories within the magazine one that is not on the front cover is the students thoughts about the college as a whole. This is just a simple draft showing what goes were and how everything will be displayed.

This is the latest version of my magazine as you can see i have added a interview with the basketball team on to the cover to make it look more interesting.

I decided to use the picture I did because it is on the balcony of the new oak building so you get a small overall look over the persons shoulder of what it looks like from in the inside.  

The picture i really wanted to use was one of someone stood outside of the new building but i could not get on that i liked so i choose this one. I think that the lighting behind him makes the building look brand new because it is all white and giv es it a clean, shining brand new look.

  The pictures i have taken and choosen not to use are below i choose not to use them because the 1st on on the left his face isnt what i wanted it to look like. The 2nd image in the middle he isnt looking at the cameraso i could not use that one because he needed to be looking at the camera. and the 3rd one on the right i did not like the lighting behind him i wanted the image   to not just to be focused on him but also to be able to drag the readers attention towards the new buildings corridor which is situated behind him. 

The image above is the one which i used for my magazine at first i believed that it was to dark to be able to use but i edited it on face book on photoshop to make it lighter and as you can on the finished magazine cover that the image is alot lighter than the original.
